Florida’s Great Outdoors Initiative – 50% Discount on Parks

Florida residents can now take advantage of savings on outdoor services including Florida State Parks annual passes and Sportsman licenses. An Executive Order called the Great Outdoors Initiative was signed into law on October 13th. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is offering family and individual state park annual passes at a 50 percent discount now through January 13, 2023. Family Annual passes are now $60, plus tax, and Individual Annual passes are $30, plus tax. Visit FloridaStateParks.org for a complete list of State Parks. Many state parks are located nearby new home communities featuring Holiday Builders’ homes.

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park

Blackwater River State Park

Additionally, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is offering annual Gold Sportsman, 5-year Gold Sportsman, and Lifetime Sportsman licenses at a 50 percent discount. The Annual Gold Sportsman pass is $50.75; the 5-year Gold Sportsman is $247.75; and the Lifetime Sportsman’s License fee is $201.50 (age 4 or younger), $351.50 (ages 5-12), and $501.50 (ages 13 and older). There are 175 state parks, trails, and historic sites spanning nearly 800,000 acres and 100 miles of white sand beaches. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission encourages participation, responsible citizenship, and stewardship of its natural resources and treasures.
