Sebastian Farm Dedicates Bridge to Veterans

LaPorte Farms in Sebastian, invited the local community to a dedication ceremony this past weekend. A newly constructed pedestrian bridge was dedicated to honor veterans. The Veterans Serenity Bridge honors veterans from all branches of military – Army, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Coast Guard, and Marines. LaPorte Farms rests in between Holiday Builders’ model homes in Sebastian Highlands, and Spirit of Sebastian. Holiday Builders’ New Home Consultants Shelley and Angela, attended the dedication ceremony.

Laura LaPorte opened LaPorte Farms in Sebastian, Florida in1994.  Laura grew up on a farm with goats, cattle, chickens and horses. The five-acre petting farm is the realization of Laura’s dream to create a safe place for people to interact with and learn about farm animals.

Holiday Builders supports other veterans organizations. Space Coast Honor Flight takes veterans to Washington DC to visit the veteran memorials. Holiday Builders sponsors the breakfasts served at the Orlando airport on the mornings of the veteran flights. Additionally, our blogger (that’s me) served as a Guardian on a flight. My duty was to escort my assigned vet for the entirety of the trip. It was an unforgettable trip. But that’s another blog.
