Holiday Builders is the homebuilder with a heart – and not just the little one you see in the logo. Our company was founded by two brothers in 1983. What started as a small family business grew into an “extended family” business. The employees purchased the company in 1996 making Holiday Builders the first “employee owned” homebuilder in the United States. Each one of our employees has a vested interest in our success. That’s just one of the reasons we put heart into everything we do.
From our humble beginnings to our present state as a leading homebuilder in Florida and Coastal Alabama, we have set clear priorities. Those priorities keep us on the same page. Core to our mission statement and our heart is this – We are not just building “a house”, but a home, a special place at the center of people’s lives.
Heart is an integral part of our corporate culture. It’s in the way we treat our employees – putting family first, offering great benefits, advancement opportunities and tuition reimbursement.
Heart is also found in our dedication to our community. We support non-profit organizations and donate to local schools in all areas where we build. We’ve even set up a scholarship fund for university students enrolled in building and construction-related studies. We don’t just write checks – we get involved, sending teams to help build Habitat for Humanity homes, volunteering at food banks, and building new structures at our local zoo.
Here are some of the organizations we are happy to support:
Recently, Holiday Builders worked together with Building Homes for Heroes, a non-profit organization and gifted a brand-new home to Sergeant John Goudie and his family in the lovely community of Windswept Estates. Read the story here! “Building Homes for Heroes® is determined and devoted to bringing renewed hope to our nation’s injured veterans. The organization builds or modifies homes, and gifts them, mortgage-free, to injured veterans and their families, while providing support services to enable them to build better and brighter lives and reach new heights. It’s truly an honor to serve the men and women who have courageously served and sacrificed for our country.” To read more about Sergeant John Goudie and Building Homes for Heroes, please check out their website.
