Holiday Builders Sponsors Jazzoo
Holiday Builders is proud to sponsor Jazzoo, an annual fundraising event at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, FL. This popular event takes place on Saturday, November 8th from 7 – 11 pm. Tickets are on sale now. The VIP Sponsorship is part of eight years of continued support for the Brevard Zoo. Holiday Builders’ corporate offices are in Melbourne. Support of the Zoo is part of our ongoing commitment to support communities where we build.
Jazzoo is an event featuring an eclectic mix of live music presentations on 7 stages placed throughout the Zoo. Guests enjoy local cuisine and Food Truck treats, as well as cocktails and dancing. While Holiday Builders is the main event sponsor, many other local companies have stepped up to the plate to support this important fundraiser. Check the Jazzoo website to see all the details.
Proceeds from Jazzoo help to fund the Zoo’s ongoing mission – “We share our joy of nature to help wildlife and people thrive.” To that end, funds assist with:
- Animal care including nutrition, veterinary services and daily operations of the zoo.
- Education programs for schools, camps and community outreach that connect people with nature and conservation.
- Conservation initiatives locally and globally such as “Quarters for Conservation” that directs a portion of ticket/membership revenue to partner organizations working to protect wildlife and habitat.
- Capital initiatives and future growth and the new Aquarium.
In addition to supporting the Zoo by sponsoring events, Holiday Builders’ employees participate in Zoo programs locally. The Zoo does a lot of local work to support restoration of the water quality and resilience of the Indian River Lagoon. That work involves the care and monitoring of oyster beds that filter and clean the water, and planting clam beds that boost the clam population to reduce the buildup of nutrients and encourage seagrass growth. The Zoo also enlists the help of volunteers to place native shoreline plants and mulch between lagoon-fronting yards and the water to create a barrier against harmful fertilizers. Our team assisted in building the infrastructure for some of these programs.
