It’s quiet here. When you visit the Lakes of St. Sebastian the quiet is notable. The community lies 2.5 miles west of the Indian River, on Micco Road. Micco is a census designated area at the southern tip of Brevard County, also known as Florida’s Space Coast. Micco Road stretches nearly 8 miles from US 1 along the Indian River, west to Babcock Street. South of Micco on US1 is Sebastian in Indian River County. And north bound along US 1, lies Grant/Valkaria, then Palm Bay and Melbourne.

Mature palm trees flank Laguna Circle Drive, the entry to the Lakes of St. Sebastian creating a stately entrance. The neighborhood is clean and quiet, with oversized homesites surrounding expansive lakes. The community is well-established, and some residents enjoy getting around the neighborhood in golf carts. There’s a brand new bridge on Micco Road, immediately east of the community entrance. Local residents spent a good part of 2024 waiting for construction of the bridge to be complete.  U.S. 1 is a pleasant commuter route with grocery stores, gas stations and daily shopping needs nearby.

The lifestyle in this area of Florida is pretty laid back. The nearby City of Sebastian was once a small fishing village. Now it’s a growing town mindful of the beauty of local natural resources like the Indian River. Tourists, snowbirds and full time residents enjoy a variety of local seafood restaurants including Captain Hirams, Squid Lips Grill, Mulligan’s Beach House in Sebastian and the Old Fish House in Grant. There are riverfront parks and boat launches dotted along the river. Just to the north is the Grant Historical House.
